Postdoctoral position in the field of Computer Architecture at Chalmers

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chalmers has 76 faculty members and enrolls about 70 PhD students from more than 30 countries. The research spans the whole spectrum, from theoretical underpinnings to applied systems development. There is extensive national and international collaboration with academia and industry all around the world.

The position is placed in the High-Performance Computer Architecture Group under the leadership of Per Stenstrom and is expected to contribute to the research on multicore architectures concerning architectural support for programmability.

Job description

The candidate is expected to do independent research in the area of high-performance computer architecture that is of relevance to the mainstream direction towards multi-core architectures. The candidate is also expected to enrich the research in the group by participating in seminar series and give advice and mentor PhD students in the group. Finally, the candidate is expected to also carry out departmental duties corresponding to 20% of his/her time.
The position as Post Doctor is for two years of full-time employment.

Qualifications

The applicant should have Ph.D. degree (normally not older than 3 years) in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a PhD thesis in the area of Computer Architecture or in a closely related field. A succesful candidate should demonstrate potential for teaching and research.
